Yellow Octopus Foundation is a grant giving organisation supporting underprivileged children from the geographical locations where Yellow Octopus Limited is trading. Yellow Octopus Foundation is a Registered Charity number 1141496.
We made a decision that from 2011 onwards, each year 10% of the retained profits generated by Yellow Octopus Limited will go to Yellow Octopus Foundation.
Our foundation aims in helping underprivileged children in regions of Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Why we have decided to give 10% of our hard made profits away ?
Because “to share” is one of the very first things we were taught at school, so why to forget about this very simple and powerful principle in our adult life… We strongly believe that it is our obligation and great privilege to help as many little people as we can…many of them are not lucky enough to be born healthy or loved and by sharing with them we hope we will make their lives a little bit happier and the world as a whole a bit better place to live.
Why have we created our own foundation instead of supporting one of many existing charities ?
- we want to have more control and more impact in our charitable activities
- we don’t want our money to be spent on large admin and marketing costs within the big charities
- we want to direct the funds in activities and into the regions where we can make a difference.
